High School Basketball Play

NBA high school players - Ever since its inception in 1946, the National Basketball Association has long had a preference for players who played basketball at the collegiate level; the vast majority of players to play in the NBA have had college experience. However, there have been numerous notable players who attended high school in the United States and then jumped directly to the NBA, without playing collegiate ball.

Lower Merion High School - Lower Merion High School, Founded in 1894, is an American public high school in Lower Merion, Pennsylvania. Kobe Bryant, a Basketball player for the National Basketball Association, played for the Lower Merion Basketball team for four years.

Collins Hill High School - Collins Hill High School is a high school in Suwanee, Georgia, USA, operated by Gwinnett County Public Schools. In 2004/5, two students from Collins Hill High tied for the highest score in the state on Level IV in the National German Exam, and the Boys' Wrestling Team, Boys' Swim/Dive Team, Girls' Cross Country Team, and Girls' Basketball Team were state AAAAA champions.

Aurora Cavalry - The Aurora Cavalry are a team in the International Basketball League (2005-) slated to begin play in the 2006 season. The team will be coached by Dejon Jernagin and will play home games at Gateway High School.
